Erica Berman

Erica Berman is a third-year student at the University of Michigan Law School. Originally from Baltimore, MD, Erica graduated from Dartmouth College in 2003 with an A.B. in Government and a minor in Art History. Before entering law school, Erica worked in television for NBCUniversal and CNBC. As one of CNBC’s lead booking producers, she was responsible for securing exclusive interviews for the network and managed casting and talent relations for new programming initiatives. Erica has also worked as an intern for the SEC’s Division of Enforcement in Washington, D.C., and as a summer associate at Greenberg Traurig, LLP in New York, where she will return after graduation. Erica’s areas of interest include corporate governance, securities regulation, and real property.
Charlie McDonald

Charlie McDonald is a third-year student at the University of Michigan Law School. Originally from Seattle, WA, Charlie holds a B.A. in history and an M.B.A. from the University of Portland. Prior to law school, he worked with Portland Public Schools to establish a non-profit tutoring and mentoring program for students from displaced families. Charlie has worked as a law clerk with a constitutional litigation firm in Seattle and as a summer associate in the legal department of a Chicago broker-dealer and asset management firm. Charlie’s areas of interest include securities law, FinTech regulation, and talking about the Pacific Northwest.
Sam Scarritt-Selman

Sam Scarritt-Selman is a third-year student at the University of Michigan Law School. Originally from New York, NY, Sam graduated from Vassar College with a B.A. in Philosophy in 2012. Sam has worked as an intern at the Investor Protection Bureau of the New York State Office of the Attorney General and as a summer associate at the New York office of Dechert LLP, where he will return after graduation. Sam’s areas of interest include financial regulation and corporate governance.
Gabriel Godoy-Dalmau

Gabriel is a third-year student at the University of Michigan Law School. Originally from Miami, FL, Gabriel holds a B.M. in music technology from Belmont University and an M.M. in music business and entertainment from the University of Miami. Prior to law school, Gabriel worked in the south Florida music industry as an A&R manager and business consultant. He has interned with the Honorable Andrea M. Simonton of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and was a summer associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York.
Natasha S. Patel

Natasha Patel is a third-year student at the University of Michigan Law School. Originally from Cupertino, CA, Natasha graduated from Santa Clara University with a B.S. in Sociology in 2013. Natasha has worked as an intern for the Transportation Team at the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office and as a summer associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges in New York, where she will return after graduation. Natasha’s areas of interest include securities regulation and corporate governance. Outside of academics, Natasha enjoys dance and reading historical fiction books.
Noel Ripberger

Noel is a third-year student at the University of Michigan Law School. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Noel graduated from THE Ohio State University with a B.A. in Economics and English in December 2013. Noel has worked as an intern with the Office of the Ohio Lieutenant Governor and the financial technology company Funding Circle. Most recently, she worked as a summer associate at Cooley LLP’s Palo Alto office, where she will return after graduation.
