Adrian Ohmer

Editor-in-Chief

Adrian graduated from the Georgetown University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service, where he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Students of Georgetown, Inc. After Georgetown, Adrian worked as an Analyst and Associate for Goldman, Sachs & Co. He returned to Goldman in the Summer of 2011 to work in the Global Compliance Division. In the summer of 2012, Adrian worked as a summer associate at Morrison & Foerster in New York City.

Anna Walker

Managing Editor

Anna graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia where she majored in Economics and Political Science. After graduating, Anna joined AmeriCorps where she helped low-income clients achieve financial independence and financial sustainability. Anna regularly volunteers with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program and continues to serve as an advocate and student attorney for low-income taxpayers through the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic. During the summer of 2012, Anna returned to the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition, where she specialized in merger regulation and antitrust enforcement.

Mark Franke

Mark graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts Honors Humanities. He worked for the Overseas Private Investment Corporation in the Summer of 2011 on project finance, investment funds, and political risk insurance transactions. During the summer of 2012, Mark worked as a summer associate at White & Case in New York City.

Anne Kruger

Anne graduated from the London School of Economics in 2008, receiving a BSc in Social Policy. Before attending law school, Anne worked as a teacher in the Shanghai Public School System in China. In 2011, she worked as a law clerk at the Minnesota Disability Law Center and served as the Social Activities Chairperson of the Women’s Law Student Association. During her second year of law school, she also interned at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development in Geneva, Switzerland. Anne spent the summer of 2012 at Allen & Overy as a summer associate in their London office.

Alexander Su

Alex Su holds a B.A. in International Relations from Pomona College, where he was an Academic All-American on the championship varsity water polo team. At Michigan Law, he is a member of the new Entrepreneurship Clinic, which provides strategic advice to startups. He was also a winner of the UM 1000 Pitches Competition. Prior to law school, he had extensive experience in Asia, including a Fulbright Fellowship to South Korea. His background also includes startups and 4 foreign languages. This summer, he was at Minami Tamaki LLP in San Francisco.

Justin Taylor

Justin graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2009. He worked for the Chicago Mayor’s Office as a Mayoral Fellow during the summer of 2011, as well as working as a volunteer for Cabrini Green Legal Aid. During the summer of 2012, Justin worked at Paul Hastings in their Chicago office as a summer associate.

Isaac Binkovitz

Isaac graduated from McGill University in 2009, Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Urban Systems. After McGill, Isaac worked as a research and editing assistant for an international wine, beer & spirits trade association in Washington, D.C. For summer 2011, he returned to Washington to work as a policy intern for Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, promoting cycling and pedestrian infrastructure funding and planning. In addition to English, Isaac speaks French and Spanish with moderate proficiency. In the summer of 2012, Isaac worked at Allen & Overy as a summer associate in New York City.

Kirsten Popoff

Kirsten graduated from the University of Michigan in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Environmental Studies. She worked for the Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Trustee for the Western District of Michigan during the summer of 2011. Kirsten spent this past summer as a summer associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York City.

Huilin Wang

Before law school, Huilin worked for Cogent Partners, a private equity focused investment bank and advisory firm specializing in secondary market transactions. In the summer of 2012, Huilin worked as a summer associate at Morrison & Foerster in Los Angeles.

Shannon Guy

Shannon Guy (’13) is interested in practicing international corporate law. She worked at Simpson Thacher’s New York and Sao Paulo offices during the summer of 2012. Shannon studied Portuguese at Yale, and has lived abroad in Spain and Brazil. During the Winter of 2013, Shannon will extern at the UN Conference on Trade and Development in Geneva, Switzerland.

Michael Pestana

Note Editor

Mike graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. He worked for the New York City Transit Authority as a legal intern during the summer of 2011. Mike spent this past summer as a summer associate at Kirkland & Ellis in San Francisco.
